Sweetbriar Barn Fundraiser & Long Island Cares Food Drives
How Ballpark Mobilized DIY Concerts into High-Yield Public Charity & Wildlife Rehabilitation Fundraising
Impact Metrics → $500 Raised for Wildlife Rehab | 120+ Lbs Food Collected for LI Cares
CHALLENGE
Local non-profit charities, wildlife sanctuaries, and regional food banks frequently struggle to connect with younger suburban demographics through traditional fundraising models. Meanwhile, young music fans want to support charitable causes but lack accessible, culturally engaging entry points that combine community building with direct civic action.
SOLUTION
Ballpark partnered with the Sweetbriar Nature Center to produce a one-of-a-kind benefit fundraiser show inside their historic barn, pairing live indie sets with live environmental education features (introducing rescued barn owls, opossums, and runner ducks to attendees). Additionally, Ballpark coordinated multi-band charity shows at Tiny Raccoon Books, collecting non-perishable goods to directly fight food insecurity across Long Island through Long Island Cares.
