How Ballpark Coordinated an Experimental Gallery Show & Opening Reception Across Long Island Sound
Impact Metrics → 3-Day Exhibition | Co-Curated Multi-Media Exhibition
CHALLENGE
Visual art communities in Long Island and Connecticut often operate in isolation from one another despite sharing a coastal waterway. Fine artists face geographic divides and a lack of cross-state collaborative opportunities, leaving regional art scenes disconnected and lacking dedicated platforms for interdisciplinary curation.
SOLUTION
Inspired by the connection between creatives across the water, Ballpark partnered with Connecticut’s Milford Arts Council and Firehouse Gallery to co-curate and install "Cross the Sound". Ballpark spearheaded on-site curation and installation alongside the Firehouse team, producing a 3-day weekend exhibition and opening reception that showcased 20 fine art pieces across diverse mediums — including fish sculptures, immersive installations, and traditional paintings.
